Nitrilhandsker i æske – guide til beregning af forbrug og genbestilling

Calculate glove consumption and reordering for the company

Plan purchases in the number of individual gloves, and only then convert to boxes and parcels. This makes the consumption comparable, even when the package size is changed. Use the company's registered consumption; there is no one correct number of gloves per employee for all tasks.

The calculation below is a procurement model. It does not specify how long a glove can be used or how often it must be changed. Protection and replacement must follow the specific work task and the product's instructions.

Register model and size separately

Make one line per item number and size. Record the number of employees, working days and actual consumption per working day. A box moved from central storage to a closet is not necessarily used; begin by reconciling the inventory at both locations.

Clearly write if the unit is single gloves or pairs. Six pairs are twelve individual gloves. Check the number on the packaging before it is included in the calculation.

Calculation example: from consumption to boxes

Assume for the sake of example only that ten employees each use twelve individual gloves per working day for 22 working days:

10 × 12 × 22 = 2,640 gloves.

With 100 gloves per box, 27 whole boxes must be used, which gives 2,700 gloves. With 200 per box, 14 whole boxes must be used, which gives 2,800 gloves. It is a unit calculation, not a recommendation of the two product types as mutual substitutes.

First divide the need into sizes, then round each size up to whole boxes. Rounding off one total sum may result in too few gloves in a certain size. If the entire package is required, the actual number of boxes per package must also be rounded up. kolli.

When should you order again?

A simple model is:

Reorder point = expected consumption in the replenishment time + selected safety stock.

If the daily consumption of the example is 120 gloves, the replenishment takes five working days, and the company chooses a buffer of 240 gloves, the point 120 × 5 + 240 = 840 gloves. The five days and the buffer are illustrative assumptions, not Nordic Safety's delivery time or a recommended standard stock.

Take into account usable stock, reservations and already ordered goods that are actually expected to arrive before the need. Revise the calculation if staffing, consumption or supplier time changes. A delayed order should not hide the fact that physical stock is running out.

Make reordering a regular task

Appoint one person responsible and agree on a fixed time for the inspection. Save model, size, package contents, basis of consumption, reorder point and open orders on the product card. Another employee must be able to carry out the order based on the same information.

Don't save by extending the use beyond the product's instructions. The HSE emphasizes that the choice of glove depends on the impact, task, user and manufacturer data. Changes to the model must therefore be assessed separately; a lower consumption is not in itself evidence of a better solution.

Basics

HSE: selection of gloves according to task and manufacturer data. The calculation model and all speech examples have been prepared as editorial aids; they are not measurements from a customer.

Order according to calculated consumption: nitrile gloves in boxes of 100. or business package with 80 boxes.
