Data we process

We may process names, job titles, company names and registration numbers, addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses; order history, delivery, invoice and payment status, references, complaints, returns, credit notes and correspondence. Payment providers handle payment data; we do not normally store full card details. Technical data may include IP address, browser, device, operating system, visits, clicks, referral source, cart, checkout and cookie data.

Sources

Data comes from you when you order, create an account, request a quotation, subscribe or contact us; from website use and cookies; and, where lawful for business contacts, public business registers, websites, databases or partners.

Purposes and legal bases

GDPR Article 6(1)(b) covers orders, delivery, payment and contract administration. Article 6(1)(f) covers legitimate business-contact administration, service, security, fraud prevention and legal claims. Article 6(1)(c) covers accounting, tax and other legal duties. Article 6(1)(a) covers consent-based marketing and non-essential cookies, analytics or advertising where required. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.

Marketing and cookies

We obtain marketing consent where required; any existing-customer exception is used only where lawful. Unsubscribe through an email or contact us. Necessary cookies support shop operation, security and preferences. Non-essential analytics, conversion tracking and personalised advertising are used only with consent where required. Cookie settings explain choices and retention periods.

Recipients

Where necessary, data is shared with carriers, payment and finance providers, Shopify, hosting and IT providers, customer-service and CRM services, email services such as Klaviyo, accounting services, analytics or advertising providers such as Google and Meta, advisers and authorities where legally required. Processors act under instructions and data-processing agreements.

International transfers

Transfers outside the EU/EEA rely on an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer basis, with supplementary measures where necessary.

Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary. Accounting records are normally kept for five years from the end of the financial year where required. Customer and order data is retained for the relationship, delivery, claims, documentation and legal duties; service data only as needed. Limited consent records may remain after withdrawal to document compliance. Cookie periods are stated in settings. Unneeded data is deleted or anonymised.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, misuse, accidental deletion or unlawful disclosure. Access by employees and providers is limited to what their work requires.

Your rights

Subject to legal conditions and exceptions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and withdraw consent for future processing. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests because of your situation and always to direct marketing. Contact us to exercise your rights; we may need to verify your identity.

Automated processing and external sites

We do not normally make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Analytics and marketing personalisation are used lawfully and with consent where required. External websites have their own privacy policies.
