Choose the package size according to the consumption at the individual workplace. A box with 200 nitrile gloves can be practical when the same size is used a lot. A box of 100 may be a better choice when the gloves are to be distributed in many places with less consumption. First clarify that the specific glove is suitable for the task.
What do the two packages contain?
Nordic Safety's current product descriptions state:
- Nitrile gloves 5 g with 100 pcs.: 100 single gloves per box and 10 boxes per package, a total of 1,000 gloves.
- Nitrile gloves 5 g with 200 pcs.: 200 single gloves per box and 10 boxes per package, a total of 2,000 gloves.
A package is therefore not a fixed quantity of gloves. Check the selected variant and the packaging information when ordering. ARNOWA similarly describes that the number per box depends on product series and variant; don't use one pack count across all models.
Distribute the boxes by work location and size
Start with a list of the locations where employees take gloves. Note which sizes must be available at each location and how quickly each box is emptied.
Illustrative example: Four work locations must each have one box in size M and one in L. This requires eight boxes. With 100 pcs. per box distributed 800 gloves; with 200 pcs. 1,600 is distributed. There are still eight boxes out front. The example shows the distribution at startup, not a recommended stock or glove change rule.
If one size is rarely used in a particular location, the smaller pack may limit the number moved out of central stock. For a large, stable consumption of the same size, the larger packaging can reduce the number of box changes. The consumption of the gloves themselves is not changed just by choosing a larger box.
Check space and dispenser before changing
200 gloves does not mean that the box has the same dimensions as a 100-piece box. Obtain the actual outside measurements or try the new box in the holder or drawer you are using.
- Can the box be mounted and replaced without being pinched?
- Is the opening accessible and does the removal work in practice?
- Can employees still see the model and size clearly?
Keep the gloves in the properly labeled packaging rather than grouping different models or sizes in one box. Fewer boxes are not in themselves evidence of less storage space or an environmental saving; it requires information about measurements and packaging.
Compare offers when the package is selected
The two box prices cannot be compared directly when the contents are different. Use our shopping sheet to compare glove prices for quantity, whole package and freight on the same VAT basis. Larger packing does not automatically mean a lower unit price.
